As a ninja blender user, if you don’t know how to sharpen ninja blender blades, don’t worry. In this article, I will answer these questions with an in-depth response. So, continue your reading until the end.
How to sharpen ninja blender blades?
I hope you already know a ninja blender has four blades that are made of metal. Two edges are pointing upwards, and two are downwards. As metal instruments can be easily sharpened, you can also sharpen your blender’s blades easily. Only you need to know the right approach and use of tools. I mentioned some proper approaches and tools step by step below.
Step 1 Disconnect the blander.
Remembering the word ‘safety first,’ your first important task is to disconnect the blender from the electricity.
If you keep connecting the blender with electricity, you can fall into an accident during working.
So for avoiding accidents, disconnect the blender before starting work.
Step 2 Remove the jug.
In this step, your most important task is removing the jug. With great care and slowly, separate the plastic or glass jug from the base.
After then, it will be useful if you clean your blender’s base and jug with a brush or damp towel. Also, you can rinse it with soapy water. But it is not compulsory because you can clean them after sharpening your blender’s blades.
Step 3 Remove the blades.
Arriving at this stage, you have to remove the blender’s blades from the base.
If the blades are attached to the base, it would be difficult for you to sharpen the blades. So, you need to remove the edges entirely from the blender's base. Then, you can sharpen the edges without any obstruction.
You see a base at the bottom of the blender. It is holding the blades of the blender with the jug. Now, hold the base with your left hand with care. Then with your right hand, turn the edges counter clockwise and separate the blades one by one from the base.
In a word, separate the blades from the base according to your advantages. After separating the blades, put them alone on the table.
Step 4 Clean the blades.
After removing blades, you have to clean your blender’s blades.
For cleaning blades, take a toothbrush and soak it in some white vinegar or soapy water. Then with the brush dipped in white vinegar or soapy water, brush the blades.
You will see that the blades have cleaned. And yes! Rub the sharpening plate or rod slowly as you may cut your hand with the blade in a hurry.
If the blades are not clean in this way, you can also clean the blades with polident tablet mixed water. But in this process, you have to keep the blades in the mixture for more than 30 minutes.
So my advice is to clean them with vinegar or soapy water.
Step 5 Sharpen the blades.
From all, sharpening the blades are the most important step. In this step, your task is to sharpen the blades. All four blades need to be sharpened separately.
To sharpen the blades, take a blade in your left hand and a sharpening plate or rod in your right hand. Then run the sharpening plate or rod over the blade across the four sides of the blade. Now run your finger over the blade, and you see that the blade has become sharpened.
After sharpening the first one, sharpen the other blades in the same ways. It would be best if you sharpen the blades until those are sharp enough.
Remember, importantly; maintain a safe physical distance at the time of sharpening blades. Try to sharpen the blades slowly. Don’t try to sharpen the blades in a hurry. Otherwise, your hand may be cut off with the blade.
After completing the sharpening, clean the blades again, repeating step four. Then dry them with a towel or in the air.
Step 6 Check the blade sharpness.
If you can accurately follow the steps described above, your work is almost finished. In this step you need to test, have the blades been sharpened enough?
To test, reassemble every part of the ninja blender. Then, connect the blander with electricity. After then, put some things in the blender and check the sharpness of the blades.
If you saw the blades sharpened enough, it means all of your efforts became successes.
Step 7 Final thought
In this stage, I'm showing my final thought.
- Never try to sharpen the blades more than it needs to be.
- Never try to remove more metal because it not required.
- Occasionally, you have to sharpen your ninja blender's blades to keep them okay and sharpened.
- For frequent use, our ninja blender's blades could get dull. That is why you need to sharpen the edges instead of
buying a new blender.
- Before reassembling the blades to base, you have to clean them again.
- For your more protection, you can wear protective gloves. Because when you sharpen the blades can slip from your finger.
If your Ninja Blender Blades become useless or any other parts of your blender became useless, you need not throw it in the dustbin because by replacing useless parts, you will be able to make your blender like a new blender.
You will find every part of your Ninja blender on the Amazon product page.
